I have even 2 xeons so 12 cores 6,40ghz is an absolute beast for gaming if i get a rtx 3090 in it it ganna explode
older Xeon's are great for budget builds now.

Simple answer :-Forget Intel go for Ryzen.
FAILURE ,, the xeons are specifically designed to work in matched pairs ,, you are cutting the xeon in half and then comparing it. A duel xeon motherboard is only about a hundred dollars ,, compare THAT !!

The beginning of the video mentioned I5, I7, and Xeon but after that there was no mention of the I5, just a comparison of the various models of Xeon and how the basic core of that works compared to an I7. So, my question is, what about the I5 vs the I7?

Im a simple HAM radio operator….but recently got into SDR radio. Needed a better system to run my aviation radar software.
Found a local “computer” guy that was making some changes to his server system. Im NOT a computer guy, so I sent the specs to a friend of mine who is a contracted computer tech. He said it was more computer than I needed, but that I got a good deal. Hope so.
So far seems to be handling the load easily

So what input do some of you “in the know” have? So far I have been able to scan 10MHz wide radio frequencies simultaneously without any significant load on the system. (The software I use shows me cpu usage etc)
If you have an old motherboard which supports Lga2011v3 processor. Which is kind of a processor socket that was stopped around at 2016-2017 then its a good idea to get a used Xeon from 'wherever.' Rather then buying a brand new mothetboard that has latest processor from 2020
