I bought the Mi Notebook Pro i5 8250U from you recommendation more than 2 years ago and now I'm in the market for an external monitor.
I was wondering if you would know if the type C port supports a type C monitor for display output and power delivery in since it's not a thunderbolt 3 port. I searched the web, but it is really hard to find an answer to my question. Cheers

Sooo Windows is in Chinese but the keyboard in english? Why?
There is new BIOS availible. The fans are much, much less noisy and aren't kicking in like crazy. Thermals are also a little bit improved I think. Also, backlit keyboard has an option in BIOS to be turned on always (not a 30 second timeout like before). Overall I noticed less coil whine, especially when the monitor is on lower brightness (might be just me). It was worth the update – it can be done with the program within Windows, no need for USB flash drive. The BIOS version is XMAKB5R0P0906 – only for mx150 model, not a gtx one, though.

You say you can't upgrade ram but I am pretty sure you can, I seen on a website selling it , in the specs it says 8gb upgradable to 16gb
