I'm still using my redmi 4x ever since 2017. It's still a great device even though mine only has 16gb of storage (it's fine for me since I only use messenger and YT). My screen has those lines though but it's fine since I'm going to get a new phone this December! Xiaomi has a lot of nice phones even today 😀
Man I used to dream of this phone. Never had the chance to buy it.
Guys, I'm still using this tank of a smartphone in 2020. I tried custom roms in 2019, but they were unstable (I lost the mobile phone signal constantly), but now LineageOS 16 is working like a charm. I will keep this phone for at least another year before upgrading. You couldn't beat the value for money, plus the depreciation is second to none. I bough it end of 2017 for 110€ and right now I could sell it for more than 50€. Thank you xiaomi!

Bought redmi 4x for dad 2 years back in 2017. Still works perfectly, he has used the phone 527 hours as per call log summary. Battery lasts a full on call only. Unlike Samsung budget phones xiaomi budget phones lasts longer . Redmi battery life is good , 3gb RAM ensures phone never hangs due to lack of memory.

I got that phone
After 2/3 years using it, it is one of the most reliable and wonderful phone i had. after thousand of hours, and countless times dropping it. I hope my reviews will help you all.
Just a quick summary.
After two years as my everyday phone. The battery is still remarkable doing well, I should say battery life is at 85% health condition. It means yes its no longer holds the 4k charge, but its still good enough to last you days without charging.
Graphics are great, the touch a good. I bought it before as my gaming phone to play some heavy shooting games. And the phone doesnt lag.
– Sound is great.
– Wifi reach is strong compare to other phones. In my room my other phones can only have 1 wifi signal bar as the wifi router is on the top floor. But with redmi 4x I can get 3/4 bars!
– The storage is bit limited at 16gb. And dont bother about getting an extra storage, as if youre using two phone lines, it means basically all the slots are fully used, and no slot for sd card!
Rarely crashes. Has good Ram. Little lag. No such thing as hanging that forces you to switch off your phone and reboot it.
I am still on the original software and the latest whatsapp 2020, and all other softwares still works with the phone.
The next nokia 3310, the phone has seen the hardest of fall, and still refuse to break!
Xiaomi air drop/ transferring files over the wifi are wonderful! can even use it using google chrome! it was hard at first but once you get the hang of it. its wonderful!
DRAWBACKS?
*full storage * issue. The xiaomi software is causing problems in backing up. I once hooked the phone up to my computer so i can back up the photos and videos which i myself took using the redmi from my holidays. I thought I did it, but sadly not all the photos were backed up. I selected all in the camera folder. Strangely some files were not displayed, but if you use the file explorer from the phone, you can see the photos are at that particular folder! but wont show on the computer! lol.
This is a major thing in my opinion, i nearled deleted the whole folder thinking that i backed them all up, thank God i double checked it. So solution?
I created a new folder on the phone, cut and pasted all the camera photos and videos it into the new folder. And then reconnect the phone with the computer and TADAA all files are there. Not a single one a missed. Before this some are not displayed.
This is the only drawback I have seen whilst using this phone. They dont have issues of "grey" storage where you delte files and still the phone free memory doesnt increase. redmi 4x doesnt have this issue. i know alot of phones have this issue.
Minor drawback, when your storage is less than 100mb, the non stop poping up on the user interface stating storage is running low.
overall i rate this phone 7.5/10 or maybe 8/10!

im using mi4x for 2 years and watching this vid with mi4x . and let me tell you, there's no random stuck when i use it unlike when i use samsung. unless i play too much heavy game, then it become hot and reboot 😂😂

I am using for the last 1 year.. now started to hang due to more apps . Camera is average . battery is still good . build quality & design excellent.
I have this phone and I just bought the Huawei y6 2018 and comparing it to my redmi x4 I am still super impressed with the redmi. To me the y6 feels like plastic and has less ram compared to the redmi. I prefer the redmi but I can't just give up the y6 because the sound is pretty good and my screen size is great for watching movies 😎 thank you for the review man, you are great!

The camera is not ok. It used like a local camera phone. The battery is ok. But in game! I hate this phone. It so lag.especially in mobile legends. So disappointed!
